What interests me
Early morning sunrises at football practice. I saw a lot of these this past fall. |
The Washington Monument and a Chipotle burrito. What could be better? |
I love anything with the American flag in it. I thought this was a cool picture because of the wood chairs, and then my friends sitting there. |
Bourbon Street in New Orleans. I went here last March for a spring break trip I helped lead with Habitat for Humanity. One of the most fun cities I have ever been to and would love to go back. |

what photographs inspire me
I like the colors and the lights of the buildings. The different sizes add height. |
On Lake Michigan. I love the simplicity and the contrast of the black outfit against the white snow. |
I like the focus on the jewels against the wrinkly hands. |
I like the green color of the water, and that the man looks so small compared to the big wave. |
I like that this is black and white, and that the couple is the focus. Romantic. |
I like that the person and the dog are distant, but at the center of the hill. |
Why I'm taking this class...
I am taking this class because it seems very interesting. I wanted to take a class my last semester of college that would be fun but would also teach me valuable things. Because our world basically revolves around the cell phone, I thought this would be perfect. Taking pictures on your phone has become a common activity and most people are able to be amateur photographers, especially thanks to social media and different apps. I am hoping to be able to hone in on and enhance this art form of cell phone photography.
